  • 6 Thanksgiving Wines
Whether you're still planning your menu, already picked up a few groceries or you are in the midst of setting your timeline for the BIG day, don’t forget the wine!

One question: Is there truly a wine that pairs well with all the Thanksgiving flavors?

From appetizers, turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and stuffing, there are several wines that will pair nicely with your meal from start to finish.

Sparkling wines

Sparkling wines are typically paired with the holidays. They bring elegance and sophistication to any meal or party.  For Thanksgiving, sparkling wines shine brightly!

Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio is an aromatic, light-bodied white that stands up perfectly to the rich, bold flavors that encompass any Thanksgiving menu.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp white wine with citrus flavors and herbal undertones that pair well with both mashed potatoes and turkey.

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir  is a light red wine with simple flavors that will show off the big flavors of the meal, especially stuffing.

Syrah

Syrah is an edgier, more daring wine. Characteristically spicy, it can handle the classic flavors of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Rosé

Rosé is a smart consideration to pair with your meal on Thanksgiving. For guests who aren’t sure between red and white, dry rosé offers versatility that pairs well with nearly every part of the feast.

If you’re not sure how much to buy, remember that there are 4 glasses of wine in a bottle. Each guest will likely drink one glass during a cocktail hour and 2 glasses during dinner.  It’s best to plan for one bottle per guest to ensure you won’t run out!
